Stamping Out Poverty in Africa

In April, 2004, the Government of the Republic of Uganda hosted the all-Africa Conference on "Assuring Food and Nutrition Security in Africa by 2020", organized by IFPRI's 2020 Vision Initiative.

Celebrating the success and outcomes of the conference, Posta Uganda, released a set of two commemorative stamps.

"IFPRI is honored that the Government of Uganda has produced these commemorative stamps", said Joachim von Braun, Director General, IFPRI. "They will help raise public awareness about food and nutrition security and the outcomes of 2020 Africa Conference".
