Knowledge Sharing Toolkit needs you!

The Knowledge Sharing Toolkit is a place where anyone can learn about and build upon a variety of knowledge sharing practices.  It is an open repository based on the collective experiences of many users and makes a particularly valuable resource to anyone who needs to ensure an effective knowledge sharing environment during meetings and workshops.

The Toolkit was first developed in 2008 by CGIAR, and later joined by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the KM4Dev Community, the United Nations Children’s Fund and more recently the United Nations Development Fund.  There are now some 500 members who have produced or improved upon more than 100 knowledge sharing tools, methods and fact sheets.  The site now receives an average of 10,000 visits per month!

After all the help the Toolkit has given to its users – it now needs YOUR help in return because it needs updating.  In the true spirit of participation we invite you all to join us for a 2-day crowd sourcing event to update the KS Toolkit.

It is the broad and committed participation that has made this toolkit the successful resource it has been for many years. The site is a combination of knowledge sharing methods and knowledge sharing tools, along with a variety of context pages to guide you through identifying common challenges and a range of suitable methods and tools to address them.

Please mark your calendar – Thursday, November 15th – Friday, November 16th 2012 and be a part of this exciting event visit the Toolkit Update Day page and start sharing!
