A Global Agricultural Research Partnership

CGIAR, a “formidable partner” for African agricultural research- featured blog post from AASW

The CGIAR Consortium has a significant presence at the 6th Africa Agriculture Science Week (AASW). Not only is CGIAR’s booth well placed at the Accra Conference Center but the last few days have also seen a variety of side events and sessions led by several CGIAR centers and research programs.

Today’s featured post is CGIAR, a “formidable partner” for African agricultural research written by Caity Peterson, visiting researcher at CIAT working on CCAFS Theme 1: Adaption to Climate Change and a social reporter at AASW6.

The post is based on a conversation with Professor Monty P. Jones, outgoing executive director of FARA and his thoughts on CGIAR’s place in African agricultural research for development. He talks about the Consortium’s partnerships and how this is key to understanding CGIAR’s role at the conference. Read the post on the AASW6 blog.
