Sustainable agricultural development requires research across agricultural science, natural resource management, and policy. Our Strategy and Results Framework (SRF) is our road map to sustainable agricultural development.
This Framework sets out how, by working together, our 15 Research Centers and their partners will contribute to the four system-level outcomes:
- Reduced rural poverty;
- Improved food security.;
- Improved nutrition and health; and
- Sustainably managed natural resources.
The Consortium is now working on an Action Plan for the SRF, focusing on foresight, prioritization and connecting the performance of the CGIAR Research Programs to the system-level outcomes. The Action Plan will be developed during a series of consultations between now and November 2012, when the plan will be considered at the Funders’ Forum.

**As there will not be time to incorporate recommended changes, from the GCARD discussion, into the Action Plan before the Funders Forum these will be presented as well as the draft Action Plan to the Funders Forum. If approved they will be incorporated into the following version of the Action Plan.
